Looking for reasons to yell, are we?

Superbowl Sunday…woohoo! But first, church. It was different today, a lot of things were.

For one thing, I came out of the bathroom, only to be yelled at by my stepdad to get ready because we are leaving in 30 minutes. But he can clearly see that I am totally ready. So he has to change subjects on me so he doesn’t look stupid for yelling at me with no reason. He plays the “I’m not willing to get out even though I want out” card. HA… (more…)

Confusing, but relaxing loneliness

Man…today was confusing. We had our meeting today at DQ, and Steve announced to everyone that I am now the head shift-leader. We also started training Tom today for the front, which means that I get to cook. I didn’t mind cooking, but I was confused all day, and couldn’t think straight. I understand now why I always work front counter since I am required to do more while I am there. (more…)

A slow, boring day

Well…hmm…

I had lots of free time this morning at work, since I did the paperwork last night. But I filled it with the things I don’t normally do. However, when I got my grocery order, I realized that I forgot to order french fries and small cup lids…even though they were both on my list. I guess I over-looked them. (more…)

The first time it crossed my mind…

Grrr…today was supposed to be my day off. HOWEVER, I caught problems ALL DANG DAY from my stepdad. He starts off wanting me to sell my computer so I can come up with a way to pay off the car even SOONER. Every freakin’ day the deal changes. And I am NOT selling my computer…not for negotiation. I have now until June 10th to get the car paid off, then I have to sell the computer if I fail. The point is to have the ability to find another job in Waco that pays more than $8.00/hr…possibly at Foley’s or Mervyn’s. But the whole ordeal was so frustrating, I thought of (and not that I would ever go through with it, or even attempt it)… (more…)

Save the drama for your Grandma-ma

Blah Blah Blah…I tried the “lounge”-ing that Benji does so frequently in his journal of fall 2002, and got in trouble. My stepdad came home early and hit me up with all kinds of questions about my budget. I only had some answers. But what I don’t understand is when he asks “Why haven’t you…” and I answer him, it is always “I don’t want excuses!” I’m thinking “I’m telling you why I didn’t…and you still yell at me…don’t ask if you don’t want to know. Just be glad I am telling you the truth about why it’s not done!”

Anyway, I finally received word on my promotion, and that is, (more…)

Vol 2 :: Contemporary-Abstract Lawn Services

And thus, I begin a new section in my notebook. It has now been thirty days after my return home from ETBU.  Let’s take a look at all the things that have changed in 30 days:

  • plans to return in the spring for visits thwarted by no car.
  • plans for college perpetually pushed back
  • decide Amy does not wish to speak to me; what a bummer
  • decide that I am not going to date just any girl simply because it was a “girl-hater” month
  • dedide Amanda, a girl at work, does not like me, even though we had decided we would date when she turned 18 in March.
  • my parents took my car and gave me theirs.

Ok, this list is not working. Forget it…

I wrote Natalie back, but the letter is still on my desk. I just haven’t put it in an envelope yet.

Oooo…I saw Megan today… (more…)

The three options…choose wisely

Today was tiring. We started off today busy at DQ. Zadra didn’t make any deposits yesterday, and left all the paperwork for me to do this morning. Then I had to do today’s paperwork. Then count all the food in the store. All this took 2.5 hours. Once settled, I started re-stocking the stuff they didn’t do last night. And also realized that I didn’t do such a great job ordering. We are running out of a couple things. But everything should be better this time I order. (more…)

So much for a day off…

Well…so much for a day off. At 8:30, I had to take my car to get the oil changed. That’s ok. It’s the walking back in less-than-40-degree wind that bothered me. I couldn’t feel my nose when I tried to scratch it (assuming it was itching). But the car also needed to be inspected. It expired in SEPTEMBER!!!! It’s JANUARY!!! No problem…it wasn’t my car then so it wasn’t my fault. (more…)

Relief and teh womenz…

Ahh…relief is finally here…somewhat. I get two ays off – in a row! Whoo Hoo! But I have to get up at the butt-crack of dawn (8:00) to take my car to get the oil changed. *sigh* Dah well…at least I get to go shopping after that! Yea! (That’s right…I like to go shopping…but usually when it’s for me, or if I am spending someone else’s money on someone else.) (more…)
