Jackie, MercyMe, and State of the Union. Those were the highlights of my day today.

I got to work with Jackie and found out some interesting things about her. One disappointing thing though, is that she is only 16. But she listens to rock music and is a cowgirl.

Anyway, I was listening to HOT 100.3 FM (in Dallas) and they played “I Can Only Imagine” by MercyMe. Also, they apparently had them on their morning show this morning. They played off the “Christan” aspect of it and said “it is a good song…that’s why we play it, even though it is from a Christian band.” It didn’t matter to me, just as long as it was played it’s a good thing.

Well, tonight was the President’s State of the Union address. It was a pretty interesting historical event. In his first half he alloted certain amounts for certain projects. One that caught my interest the most was the $1.2 billion for developing hydrogen cars. I am particularily interested in that because I have always tried to find a way to create “perpetual energy” even though such a thing doesn’t exist within the laws of physics. Here’s the idea…

Hydrogen and Oxygen combine creating the energy to run the car…thus, it produces steam as the “exhaust.” If the steam were trapped in a condenser, it could collect into water…then run through a diffuser, and separated again (possibly solar powered and connected to a super conductor to store extra solar energy for night driving). Anyway, this hydrogen would only have to be refueled a very few times to account for losses do to extraneous circumstances. And to account for the lack of energy in the solar powered part, if the super conductor runs out, an electromagnetic generator can also be placed int he engine. That would only require a minimum amount of energy to start.

I think that if I studied a little more on the workings of car engines and mechanics as well as energy, chemistry and physics, I could be a valuable asset to this project. However, they would probably only hire folks from MIT and the like. Although, I could open my own car company or sell the design to them for big bucks, but I would have to have a prototype.

Anyway, just an idea. I am also interested in the drone aircraft of the military. They want to create a remote control robot, that mimics the flight of an insect, with a camera in it. But here’s the kicker…it has to be the size of a fly.

I have taken an interest in robotics since I read “Machines that think” – a compilation of stories editing by Issac Asimov, over the last summer. It is where I read a short story called Long Shot, and that I got my idea to continue that story on my own and write an account of a civilization that never existed. It would truly be an interesting story, and would probably end up more like a novel.

Anyway, that work is still in the making. But for now I must retire. Laterz.

I'm Neo, creator of the-spot.net. This journal is a digital form of the paperback journal that I kept each day from December 21, 2002 until March 23, 2003. It details my life experiences during those three months: the transition from college sophomore to adult, interactions with my parents, and general life after leaving the private college on-campus "bubble". These days I'm much better now, and living on my own. I haven't talked to my parents since May 2005 when my brother graduated high school.
