“What a beautiful mess I’m in…” not really…I just thought of that song.

Anyway…today I didn’t work until 4:00. I finally go to “lounge” around the house. I got all dressed up and put on some house shoes, and watched TV. I had a late breakfast and contented myself with a can of biscuits and some cheesy-eggs. At that point, an unexpected thing happened. I got a letter. It was from Sarah in Bay City. So when Martha Stewart was finished, I decided that this letter “was a good thing…” 😉 and read it.

Ahh…the memories, and the insights. One can learn a lot by a person’s penmanship (as well as grammar and punctuation usage, or the lack thereof), but it’s all good. I enjoyed the letter. It was an update on the goings-on of the Group and relationships therein.

The good news…Cracky and Drew, and Tommy is on the ETBU football team. The bad news…no more Mike and Teresa, and no more Loven and Ray, and for some strange reason, Ica is in a man0hating week. Dah well.

So, I wrote back, and then I wrote a copy of my letter so I know what I told her. I’ll send it tomorrow. I also still need to write Jay and Lindsey. I would like to get in touch with Benji, but don’t have his phone or address. And if my parents found out, I think they would have a duck.

they think he is a bad person because of his ScreenName, “Pianodevil.” He does have a non-fitting personality for a religion major, but not everyone is to be a religion major. Anyway, I won’t go into that because it is just too much.

I worked in the kitchen tonight, and things were kind of hectic. I hadn’t closed in 6 months, and everything was off-schedule to me because I wasn’t the only one working there. Tom was doing things for inspection, but he helped out some with the cooking and cleaning also. I don’t have much to say on today because it only lasted about 6 hours, and I worked with my brother and Tom.

I did interview the guy I wanted to hire, but he will be leaving in mid-March thru November for the National Guard. Steve doesn’t want to hire someone for 6 weeks. I can see his point, but there are some good people out there for hire, and he was one of them. So now I must settle for less and hire a not-so-bright girl. I’ll interview her tomorrow and see what she’s like.

Anyways, that’s all for tonight. Laterz.

  • Song in my head: What a beautiful Mess – Country song
  • Craving: Root beer, Vanilla
  • Mood: Awake / Out of sorts
  • Thought: “I’m thinking of a girl, but there is no face to my thought, and no name to the girl. Perhaps it is only the dream of one day having a girl to hold.”
  • Quote: One of my brother friends tried to write a letter to him using big words to sound intelligent. In it, she opened with… “I am reluctant to indulge my incomprehensible mind into the depths of a peril.” When asked what she meant, she replied “I’m trying not to talk about clothes.”

I'm Neo, creator of the-spot.net. This journal is a digital form of the paperback journal that I kept each day from December 21, 2002 until March 23, 2003. It details my life experiences during those three months: the transition from college sophomore to adult, interactions with my parents, and general life after leaving the private college on-campus "bubble". These days I'm much better now, and living on my own. I haven't talked to my parents since May 2005 when my brother graduated high school.
