Fines for driving, and reading my mail…

[65 in : 189 out]

Well, in Church today, I realized how I could have written the code on my websites using popup technology to load another page in a frame. If I had only thought of that before!

It’s no matter now, I’m working on a new design for my website, but I can’t quite picture it.

I did write Sarah H.’s letter today, as well as watch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. It reminded me of some of the things I could have done, but couldn’t really have done, in high school. I know it’s just a movie, but some things can be done in real life.

I didn’t do much today. My stepdad proposed and set into place (more…)

The Employee Meeting

[64 in : 190 out]

We had our meeting today at DQ, and I Finally got some things cleared up that I have been wanting to make known to people. However, I Still don’t know how to sound nice about telling people how ot do their jobs better. I tried though. Steve read the points off my list, and I filled in the specifics. We’ll see what happens in the next week or two.

I also left a note for Zadra about counting the registers properly. She left me with (more…)

A letter from Sarah…

[63 in : 191 out]

I got a letter from Sarah H. this morning, so I was pretty excited. I didn’t read it though, until I got home so I would have something forward to. However, I forgot about it until I got home. It was pretty vague and general, but none-the-less it was a letter, and I enjoyed it all the same. I’ll write her back tomorrow. I did notice one thing in particular…both her and Robin wrote me on Valentine’s Day, but Sarah didn’t mail hers until the 19th. Does it say something about Robin or Sarah? They thought of me on Valentine’s Day? I wouldn’t mind if Robin thought something along those lines, because she was the girl I (more…)

The History of etbustudents.cc…

[62 in : 192 out]

Today marks two months exactly for being at home. It’s a moot point.

It’s been raining all day. That didn’t do much for business. Just as well though; we finally got our new soda machines in…a month later. They’re pretty nice, but it will disrupt the routine of how we fill orders. We had no sodas until about 1:00 and we are running out of a number of foods. It had to do with our specials. They all came with French Fries. However, our truck comes in tomorrow morning, and this one is the most expensive shipment I have placed.

Well, Survivor came on tonight. I wished it could have been another 30 minute one. I had mixed emotions about the whole thing though. For some reason I was distracted about everything. Dah well.

The Creation of Dungan

[61 in : 193 out]

I went to work today a little early, so I could get out of the house early. I did go by the post office to get a certified mail set up for my tax stuff.

I worked with Justin while I was there, but I feel unfulfilled about it. I had to place the grocery order and take care of some other things, so I couldn’t focus all my attention on training him. I did, however, get a list printed up of all the foods we make in the kitchen and how they are made to give him to study. I got that idea from Amy as she learned what all Outback makes and how to describe each one. (more…)

Flying cars and etbuers.com

During church today I had time to think on my invention for a flying car. I tried to pay attention, but he didn’t have us look anything up in the bible, and I couldn’t read my bible, lest I be rude having my head facing my lap while he talked. So I stared straight at him, and thought. It’s basically a small airplane, made of hard plastic, instead of metal, so it wouldn’t be heavy. I won’t go into much detail, but Lockheed and Boeing both have the technology I need, and are using it in their latest fighter jets that can hover. They’re pretty neat.

Anyway, I finished up a rough drawing of one side-shot for the vehicle and am working on a top view. It’s hard because I am doing it by hand, and if I mess up, I have to start over. It’s pretty sleek and curvy. I don’t know how well it will fly though, but I am only doing this on paper.

I didn’t get to write Jay’s letter today. I wasn’t motivated. I did go driving and that caused me all kinds of problems with the parents. I had to explain why I almost ran a red light. The truth is (more…)

I [don’t] have People Skills!!

*sigh* Things are getting better now. With less things that I have to get for my parents and more control over how things are run at DQ. I am finally settling in.

Steve is going to have me start writing next week’s schedule on Friday, but I just spent the last hour on one, and finished it. I don’t see why it takes other managers sooo long to do their job. Not to sound conceited (although this will) but (more…)

Vol 2 :: Contemporary-Abstract Lawn Services

And thus, I begin a new section in my notebook. It has now been thirty days after my return home from ETBU.  Let’s take a look at all the things that have changed in 30 days:

  • plans to return in the spring for visits thwarted by no car.
  • plans for college perpetually pushed back
  • decide Amy does not wish to speak to me; what a bummer
  • decide that I am not going to date just any girl simply because it was a “girl-hater” month
  • dedide Amanda, a girl at work, does not like me, even though we had decided we would date when she turned 18 in March.
  • my parents took my car and gave me theirs.

Ok, this list is not working. Forget it…

I wrote Natalie back, but the letter is still on my desk. I just haven’t put it in an envelope yet.

Oooo…I saw Megan today… (more…)

Relief and teh womenz…

Ahh…relief is finally here…somewhat. I get two ays off – in a row! Whoo Hoo! But I have to get up at the butt-crack of dawn (8:00) to take my car to get the oil changed. *sigh* Dah well…at least I get to go shopping after that! Yea! (That’s right…I like to go shopping…but usually when it’s for me, or if I am spending someone else’s money on someone else.) (more…)

A slip of the tongue…

Welp…boring day at work. Except for one slip of the tongue on Tom’s part. Now I have taken it as him joking with me to see what happens, but he said “ole girl wants to hook up with you.” However, he won’t tell me who, so I am not going to worry about it. Any girl should know (or at least that has been one of my objectives when I talk to them about relationships) that if they want a guy, they usually just have to ask. A guy can’t read their mind, and a girl shouldn’t assume that he is picking up on her flirtatious hints. I, for one, have given up on thinking that ever “nice” girl is flirting with me. Therefore, to me, a girl being friendly, even if she is thinking that she is being over-friendly, is just being friendly to me. She must approach me and tell me flat out. (more…)
