tsnX…here we go…

So the start of tsnX has become necessary sooner than expected. I wouldn’t be so distraught if it was during a time when there WAS time to be creating a new site, and that this new site was not time-critical in its creation.

Because not only do I now have to start over with a new code base, but I also have to merge a database. And I have to create a new template for the tsnX version – which means new graphics, and new code pages, and new bugs.

Hopefully all this new stuff (along with the ditching of some old stuff) will bring back new members.

Here’s the plan things I’m getting rid of:
– Cash Mod – no more spotics, l33t points, or bling.

Heh, that’s the only thing I can think of. I’m sure I’m ditching quite a bit, I just can’t think of all of it right now. But I’m adding a ton more things:
– User security
– More profile options
– More interactive forum features
– Better, smoother, softer Design
– and maybe a bit of Ajax.
– integration with the pizzy, the-blot, the freeformfrog, and the other sites that we’re working on.

So check back to thepizzy.net/blog for more information on how things are going with the site. And be telling your friends that used to come to tsn about the change. I’m hoping that this new change, which will be taking it back to the old-skool, and bringing it forward to the future, will bring back a lot of the members that used to come around.

It’s time to go back to the “glory days” of tsn, when people came all the time, and we averaged 1000 posts a week. This will require new features, and better support from the mods/admin…bother of which are being put into tsnX, as well as the tsnXport Services.

So keep checking here, or subscribe to the RSS feed for thepizzy.net/blog, to get your latest news on the teck of tsn. You can even subscribe to the tsnX tag’s RSS to get only the tsnX news updates.

I am a web programmer, system integrator, and photographer. I have been writing code since high school, when I had only a TI-83 calculator. I enjoy getting different systems to talk to each other, coming up with ways to mimic human processes using technology, and explaining how complicated things work.

Of my many blogs, this one is purely about the technology projects, ideas, and solutions that I have come across in my internet travels. It's also the place for technical updates related to my other sites that are part of The-Spot.Network.

Maybe we can get the word out to the people at, for example, MySpace…Sure MySpace is ghey in your terms Neo, but we could use it to our advantage and spread the word there. At least that’s what I would have done….

Anyways, I like the updates your puttin’ on tsn…keep it up Neo. šŸ˜‰

*sniff….so sad to see the old go…don’t rush now neo…

I KNOW it’ll be worth the wait!

I’m not…I am actually already starting over, a second time.

I had a forum up, and some mods installed, but the major ones (the profile control panel, and the sub-forums) were going to break everything, so I have to start over with those going first, and work down towards the smaller mods.

UPS was right…there was really no point in having all those currencies. They didn’t catch on like I had planned, and they never had a purpose for their use.

Well, its awesome to see TSN move along. Thats the second time a “bad” thing has helped tsn progress.
