After using a flooble chatterbox from www.flooble.com, and trying to (unsuccessfully) hack it to get rid of the ads at the bottom, I have resolved to putting my newly developed AJAX skills to the test, to create an open-source version, with no ads. I’ll explain how you can make one too in this entry.
My friends and I had this idea back in 2004 about going completely wireless. My desktop computer moved from a 25 ft cable to a wireless card, and all that was left was the power cord. So we thought about what it would take to create a wireless power supply.
In order for power/electricity to jump through air, it has to be 6 million volts of electric current or more. This is the same charge that you see when you’re shocked by static electricity. The voltage is not what harms you, it’s the length of time you’re exposed to the voltage.
To get a real, wireless power supply, there are a couple different options, each with their own flaws…
So my parents are in Australia today…and for the next 3 months. They flew from LAX to Australia last night, and I wondered what it would be like to travel, effectively, back in time.
When I was younger, I thought that one might be able to fly at the speed of light (should such a method exist) in a West to East direction, and effectively go forward in time…or from East to West, and go backward. Afterall, if you fly on a jet plan, and go from NY to LA, less the time of the flight, you have effectively gone back 3 4 timezones, thus, 4 hours in time, relative to your previous location.
I was doing some work, and went to print, and hit the “Send email as Attachment” button instead of the QuickPrint button in Excel.
Not only did I have to unblock Excel from the internet and wait for Outlook to load a message with the attachment, I had to close the windows and hit print again.
But what if you’re able to email your docs to a printer?
