So my friend [wizard] and I (as I go by [[Neo]] in IRC chat rooms) are working on our own personalized bots for IRC Chat rooms. These bots are simple IRC scripts for now, with remote functions and commands, but we’re working our way up to A.I. Bots for this summer.<\/p>\n

The plan for [[Oracle]] is to be an artificial intelligence FAQ system for the-spot.net, where members can come chat, and if they happen to have a question about the site, they can ask [[Oracle]] and she’ll answer them. [[Oracle]] is also the “financial institution”, if you will, of the-spot.net for the monetary system, and “BlingBling” currency. She’s not operational yet, but when she is, she’ll be receiving payments in exchange for coupons that work on the freeformfrog.com store.<\/p>\n

On a side note: the FreeformFrog.com<\/a> online store, is the revenue outlet for the-spot.net and all the other peripherial sites (like this one) of the-spot.net. On there, we create customized images and sundries for people to show off, but also offer the option of creating personalized images based on your specifications. (right now though, the store is currently under construction, while we restructure our servers to handle the new websites we’ve added)<\/p>\n

[[Oracle]] is basically the progam that will run\/maintain\/interact with the-spot.net. Why use a program to manage a social website? Because people aren’t always dependable. That’s just human nature though. Where the people fall short, [[Oracle]] will step in, and help out.<\/p>\n

[m3rlin] on the other hand is a different project. His purpose is something of an experiment and general IRC Bot. Right now he’s got functions of !google and !arin for IP addresses. There is a list of other commands that you can find located on winkydo.net<\/a>. [m3rlin] is the program child of [wizard], a network administrator, and computer liberator…also the l33t h4x0r 4dm!n for the-spot.net. You’ll be hearing a lot about him, I’m sure, as most of my interactions with the internet deal with him also.<\/p>\n

We just recently learned how to read commands from a file, and with this new information (new for us) we’ll be expanding the capabilities of our bots to give them more functionality in other areas of the internet. It’ll be exciting to see what we can do with it. We have some ideas though…they’ll be detailed and stuff as we come out with them.<\/p>\n
